Photos of the Willow Bank Cottage and Surrounding Area
Please take a moment to view the photographs that will be displayed below. These photos will show the interior and exterior of the Willow Bank cottage, the surrounding area and some general images of the beautiful and rugged Northern Bruce Peninsula. Hopefully, these pictures will speak volumes about the cottage and the area nearby.
Unfortunately, it sometimes takes up to 10 seconds for these photos to load. We are working at making them load quicker. I hope that you will think that they were worth the wait. More importantly, these photos will show you what you can expect to see and experience when you stay at the Willow Bank.
While waiting for these photos to load, the panoramic pictures being displayed at the top of this web-site are also pictures taken in and around the Willow Bank and the Northern Bruce Peninsula.
It should be noted when viewing the photos showing the waterfront at the cottage that during 2014, the water level in Lake Huron increased by over 56 cm. (22 inches) from where it was in 2013. Many of the photos were taken when the water was at the much lower level. This increased water depth has made for better swimming and boating opportunities in front of the cottage. It is expected that given the record ice coverage in the Great lakes during the winter of 2014-2015, lake water levels hopefully will continue to increase throughout 2015, 2016 and onward into 2017. I will strive to update the photos showing the increased water level at the cottage this spring and summer.

There are always plenty of flowers to brighten the exterior of the cottage.
The Willow Bank sign by the rear entrance welcomes visitors to the cottage.
The covered back porch is a nice place to sit in the shade and relax.
The clean and tidy kitchen is well equipped with good appliances and stainless steel pots and pans.
The kitchen is light and bright and located just a few steps from the dining room.
A comfortable king-sized bed is placed in the large master bedroom. There is a walkout from here to a private balcony overlooking the waterfront.
The second bedroom located on the top floor in the main cottage is furnished with a comfortable queen-sized bed.
The spacious main bathroom on the upper level was completely remodeled and features a deep re-glazed bath tub
The bathroom also features a glassed-door shower stall.
Newly constructed in 2017 a three-piece washroom located on the lower level adjacent to the Entertainment Room
A state of the water system is located in the laundry room. It features a charcoal filter, a water softener and an ultra-violet purification system that ensures good clean drinking water.
The dining room table easily expands to allow 8 people to dine comfortably.
Comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated living room overlooks front deck and waterfront.
Entertainment room located on the lower level is a wonderful place to spend time in the evening or during inclement weather.
The large elevated deck at the front of the cottage was completely updated during the spring of 2014. It now has PVC decking and aluminum and glass railings.
Dining outdoors on the front deck is a wonderful way of enjoying time together with family and friends.

The Guest Cabin is ideal for older children, maybe a second couple or for grand parents wanting a private sleeping space.

There are two kayaks for guests to use while staying at the cottage.

The waterfront features a sandy apron leading to shallow water that is about 3 or 4 feet deep. The perfect and safe place for young children.

Singing Sands beach on Lake Huron is a five minute drive from the cottage. This is a wonderful place to spend time.
The Visitor's Centre at the Bruce Peninsula National Park is well worth a visit by our guests.
Observation tower at the Visitor's Centre over looks the beautiful Northern Bruce Peninsula and Georgian Bay.

The Chi Cheemaun car ferry sails between Tobermory and South Baymouth on Manitoulin Island.

The Goldfinch is a frequent visitor to the bird feeder. This one is a male. This picture was taken by a guest staying at the cottage. Its a beautiful photo graph. It was rated the best picture submitted that year.
There are a number of bird-feeders that attract hummingbirds to the front deck.
Blue Jay- one of the many species of birds that drop by the feeders. This is a great place to practice taking photos of birds with your camera.
This Common Grackle does not appear to enjoy having his picture taken.
This is a flying squirrel. They can be regular visitors at the bird-feeders in the evening.
In the Spring of 2014, a hen turkey became a regular visitor around the Willow Bank. Bring your camera and take a moment to capture images of the wild-life that call this area home.
Red squirrels can be fun to watch and photograph.
